A new obsession

Hi friends!

September has flown by!  The kids are back in school and settling into regular routines filled with after school activities, homework and family traditions.  This is my first year with both kids in school all day, and the days are so quiet without them here!  I'm finding that I'm able to get much more done during school hours so I can spend more time loving on my kiddos when they get home.  Even though I was sad to have them gone all day, I was happily surprised with the added bonus of more undivided time with them.  I'm a better mom because of it!  I'm so thankful for all of my clients that keep me busy and able to work from home!

We are moving into my favorite time of year....fall!  Partly because my family has so many birthdays in October (mine included!) but also because there is a change in the air...it's crisper, cleaner, and all the colors around us changing.

This quote is one of my favorites!  I hope it leaves you filled with hope for the coming weeks.

Have a magical week, sweet friends!

A new obsession

In June, the county I live in (Grays Harbor, WA) had a small group of people that were painting rocks and leaving them around the county for people to find.  A little something special to encourage someone, brighten their day, or just plain fun!  My kids loved finding these painted rocks all over town.  What started as a little group, has now become a group of over 12,000 people on Facebook (GHROCKS) - all painting rocks, hiding and finding rocks and then rehiding again!  Over the summer it was a fantastic excuse to get out of the house and do some walking to find all the rocks!  My kids and I have been painting through the summer, and I'm so happy it has continued even after school started.  I have been hearing about other towns also doing this - is yours?  If not, maybe you could start a local group!

These are a few of my latest Disney inspired rocks.

I have some plans for a few more Tsum Tsums and other quotes.  We needed to refill our rock stash, so we went down to the river over the weekend to grab more.  I love having crafty time, and when I can include Disney with that, then it's win-win!

I want to include a quote or something on the big white rock with the Mickey & Minnie, but I can't think of the right one...do you have a suggestion?  Email me, I'd love to hear it!
