10 Reasons you should sail away for your next vacation!
Have you been on a cruise before? If you haven't, you should read on for 10 great reasons to consider taking a cruise soon! Even if you tend to be prone to motion sickness, you don't have to completely rule out a cruise. Read on to learn more!
1. See the World! With 1000+ Cruise Ports in the world, chances are there's a few that fall on your list of places you want to see! Whether you want to cruise the California Coast, through the Panama Canal, cruise the Mediterranean, or see what remains of Pompeii, we can find something for you. You can see places you may have previously thought you could only see in pictures.
2. Let the Kids be Kids...and the Adults get to be Adults! Cruises are great for families - and the cruise lines know how to keep them happy. With activities and clubs for kids and teenagers, they will stay busy while on your cruise, and you can enjoy some adult time too. Cruises have something for everyone - some cruise lines offer casinos for a little gambling, adult-only dining experiences and more. Every ship has it's own offerings, from nightlife to water and sports activities during the day.
3. You'll never go hungry - You'd have to try really hard to let yourself get hungry while on a cruise ship. From the main dining room buffets to the specialty restaurants and cafes, there is a cuisine for everyone. There are places you can grab something from a snack to a full meal. Most of these eateries are included in your Cruise cost. Cruise lines offer premium food and beverage items that will cost you more than what is included in your cruise fare, but you'll know prior to ordering. Allergies and food sensitivities? Cruise lines can be very accommodating for this as well. We will want to communicate this well in advance of embarking so that expectations are clear from the beginning.
4. Experience the Magic...while relaxing! If you opt for Disney Cruise Line, you still get to experience the Magic of Disney, without the stress and hustle of visiting the parks. There is something special about being able to meet the characters without having to wait in super long lines. Some Cruises will experience the magic of Fireworks without having to camp out on main street for a great viewing spot!
5. The final cost of the vacation isn't a surprise. When you pay for your cruise - you are paying for the main expense which includes your room, your meals and your entertainment. You can opt to add the gratuities to your fare and have them paid prior to boarding. While you are on board, you will likely want to have a specialty beverage, snack or shop for souvenirs, but many find that it is a lot easier to budget for a cruise than a typical on-the-go vacation.
6. Easy to plan. When you book a cruise, your dining time is usually scheduled (based on your preference), your show times are scheduled and your itinerary is set. The hardest part is deciding which activities/excursions you want to participate in when you stop at each port. When you book with a travel agent like myself, we can help you navigate through all of those options. We can help you pick the stateroom that is best for your family - weed through all the excursion options and help you decide on the dining time that would work best for you and the on board activities you want to participate in.
7. Amazing On-Board entertainment - every cruise line has their own style of entertainment, but many offer Broadway quality shows along with blockbuster movies - sometimes ones that are currently in the theaters! If you are cruising while a Disney movie premieres in the US, chances are they will also premiere the show while you are on board the ship! Many cruises have live interactive shows like game shows and trivia nights, along with hilarious comedians to keep you laughing. You won't be bored!
8. Unpack your bags once, but still see several different countries and cities! Not only do you get to see the world, but you can cover a lot of ground on one cruise. Depending on how many nights your cruise is sailing, you can see many different cities and historical locations, without having to pack and unpack each time you make a new stop!
9. Brand new adventures and experiences. Interested in going for a Zipline? Want to try snorkeling or swimming with pigs? When you are on a cruise, you'll be able to experience new adventures you don't get to do at home - it may even be a once in a lifetime experience!
10. There is a cruise line for everyone! I write and talk a lot about Disney and their many destinations. Disney Cruise Line is a fantastic cruise line for families. They are not the only cruise line though - depending on your wishes for the destinations you visit, your budget, or the ages of those travelling, it's possible a different cruise line may be a better fit for you. Each of the cruise lines have different ships - ranging in size from small to large, that accommodate a variety of needs for their guests. I can help you with all of the main cruise lines - I can compare the different options and help you narrow down those choices to find the right ship for you.
