Creating Memories That Last: My Journey as a Family Travel Planner

Travel has been woven into my life since I was a kid, thanks to my parents who showed me the joys of exploring new places while I was growing up. Now, as a mom of three, I get to share those same experiences with my own family—and I love every minute of it. I’ve always been drawn to the hospitality world, so much so that I earned a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management in college. But it wasn’t until I became a mom planning our family’s first big trip to Disneyland that I discovered my true passion: helping other families travel.

That first Disney trip was a learning experience. Our travel advisor missed the mark, and even on our next trip (when I tried to do all the planning), I felt like I wasn't as prepared I wanted to be. Finally, on a third Disney trip, I connected with an amazing advisor who made a world of difference. That’s when it clicked - I wanted to be that trusted guide for other families too. So, in 2013 I joined Cupcake Castles Travel, and since then, I’ve loved every second of making vacation dreams come true for my clients.

Early on in my career, one of my clients told me that because of my planning, she actually got to relax and enjoy her family vacation. She didn't have to take care of all of the details, she could leave that to me so she could also be a participant in her vacation.  That feedback meant everything to me. I specialize in family travel, but I'm not limited to Disney Destinations. Disney, particularly Disneyland, will always have a special place in my heart, but cruising has become my favorite way to travel. I love the freedom of unpacking once and still visiting multiple destinations—and Alaska is hands-down my favorite. There’s something awe-inspiring about seeing untouched wilderness, places where nature still feels wild and pure.
