Recap of the Norwegian Prima

I can't believe it's been a full week since I stepped off the brand new Norwegian Cruise Line PRIMA!  I was honored to be among the first to sail on this beautiful ship.  The sailing I was on included mostly travel professionals so we could experience this ship first hand.  Over the last 13 months I have sailed 8 different times with 4 different cruise lines, and this ship is definitely in a class of its own.

I did a short video showcasing some of my favorites from the ship:

Norwegian has not reinvented cruising - but they have brought it to a new level.  From the food experiences to the interactive shows, they introduce new technology and innovation on their ships and PRIMA is a great example of this.

The PRIMA is the first in a class of 6 ships - 5 of which will be introduced in the coming years.  The pool deck is not the only place you can relax and splash in the water - they have the Infinity Beach area on both sides of the ship on Deck 8 that are complete with Infinity Pools and day beds with splash areas to dip your toes in and cool off. This is the same deck where you can find the Indulge Food Hall - an area that offers food choices from 11 different eateries.  Imagine you are at your favorite Food Truck spot, but instead of having to stand in line at each truck, you get to place your order from a device at your table and it is delivered directly to you.  From Southern BBQ to Indian favorites, they have something for everyone.

The rooms inside the Prima are spacious and beautiful - I really enjoyed the light colors mixed with the vibrant accents. The public spaces on board the Prima are well thought out and designed for each of its passengers to have more space.  The only time I felt like I was in a crowd was when we were partying the night away at Studio 54, inside the Prima Theater.

The PRIMA continues Norwegian Cruise line's reputation for providing excellent food and beverage locations on their ship - they set their standards high.  The PRIMA has two main dining room options - Hudson's and the Commodore Room.  Both have the same menu options, but the dining rooms are a little different to offer you a different experience.  The Commodore room is a smaller, more intimate dining room setting, where Hudson's is located at the back of the ship offering sweeping views of the water.  We had a group of 17 that wanted to sit all together, and they were able to accommodate us with two tables with very little wait time.  Norwegian's Free Style cruising offers more flexibility in the way you cruise.

Norwegian Cruise Line is a great option for Multi-Generational families that want to travel together and not have to compromise so everyone gets what they want - Norwegian Cruise line does a great job of catering to all age levels.  There are so many activities on board for kids of any age - as well as adult spaces to relax and enjoy cruising.

Over the next couple years, Norwegian PRIMA will be sailing from Galveston, New York, Port Canaveral, and Miami, along with some European ports.  If you are interested in securing your room on this ship, send me a message or email and we'll get started!
